$50K DONATION TO CALIFORNIA WILDFIRE RECOVERY

What was already a terrible 2018 wildfire season was made even worse in November as three major fires broke out, making it the most destructive fire season in California’s history.

Combined, the Camp Fire in Northern California and Woolsey and Hill Fires in Southern California scorched over 250,000 acres and destroyed over 20,000 structures. In addition, nearly 100 people lost their lives and hundreds of thousands more have been displaced and had their everyday lives disrupted for years to come.

To help those affected by these devastating wildfires, Basic American Foods has donated $50,000 toward fire recovery efforts: $25,000 to the American Red Cross and another $25,000 to the California Fire Foundation, who distributes financial assistance to those that have lost everything, helping them purchase food, medicine, clothing and other necessities. While no amount of money can erase the devastation, BAF hopes our donation can go a long way in making things better for these Californians.
