BAF’s Continued Commitment to Safety Regarding COVID-19
Basic American Foods continues to take the COVID-19 situation very seriously and monitor all of the developments in best practices and government restrictions. As an essential employer involved in producing food for foodservice and retail customers around the world, the safety of our employees and our food are our top priorities. In order to minimize potential risks to our employees, customers, communities, and business, these are just a few steps that we are taking:
- Requiring employees who can work from home to do so
- Restricting all non-essential visitors to our facilities
- Restricting travel between our facilities
- Ensuring that our employees have the proper personal protective equipment, such as face coverings
- Carrying out enhanced sanitation measures, including frequent cleanings in our manufacturing facilities and offices
A dedicated team monitors the evolving situation day-to-day, adjusts our policies and responses whenever necessary, and has established an escalation protocol if issues arise in our facilities. We are confident that with these proactive measures, BAF can continue making safe, delicious food for our customers who depend on us while also safeguarding the health and safety of our employees.
