Employee Spotlight – Meghan J., Process Engineer
What does a day in the life at BAF look like for you?
I work in one of our manufacturing facilities. My typical day starts by spending time walking through the areas of the plant that I help support. I like to talk to the line owners and operators and assist with problems as they arise. While there certainly is some structure to my day, I am ready to adapt at any time – whether it’s working on a long term strategic project, reviewing processing conditions, visiting another facility, or changing focus to help fix an immediate issue. No two days are ever the same!
What BAF Value do you resonate with most and why?
The BAF value that most resonates to me is “It Takes A Team.” I love the fact that I get to collaborate with people from different departments each and every day . Everyone’s unique perspective is what helps make things better, and it’s certainly helped me grow and learn. I’ve seen some pretty amazing ideas get implemented by people working together to make it happen!
What is one of your earliest food memories?
Growing up, my mom made it a point to have us all together for at least one meal each day. This is something I’ve instilled in my family life, and we always make time each day to congregate around the dinner table to talk about the day and catch up (no TV, cell phones, or tablets allowed). I love being able to slow down and connect with one another each night.
