THE POWER OF THE ARTS TO MAKE THINGS BETTER

The importance of exposing children to the arts cannot be overstated. In addition to improving their creativity, exposure to art has proven to increase a child’s confidence, focus and overall academic performance. That is why the Idaho Falls Arts Council (IFAC) is dedicated to promoting visual and performing arts in Eastern Idaho, with a focus on kids under 12 years old.

With their ARTitorium program, the IFAC allows children to interact with fun, hands-on exhibits in both music and visual art. Currently, ARTitorium is developing a new interactive exhibit where children can explore a musical orchestra. Through large touch screens and high-quality audio, kids can experience different instruments and instrument combinations.

At Basic American Foods, we believe strongly in the importance of the arts in making things better – for our children and for all us. And we are proud to donate $7,500 to the IFAC, bringing them ever-so close to realizing the $45,000 goal that will allow them to complete their orchestra exhibit.
