Tornado Relief Contribution

Arkansas, Illinois, Kentucky, Missouri, Mississippi and Tennessee were struck by dangerous storms and tornadoes on Friday night. The trail puts it among the longest tornadoes in U.S. history. The death toll is expected to exceed 100 people, with both homes and commercial properties destroyed in the 200-mile plus path of destruction. The search for survivors continues.

Basic American Foods has donated $50,000.00 toward the recovery efforts. Tornadoes strike quickly, leaving communities around the country devastated in their wake. In the aftermath of a severe storm or tornado, the American Red Cross provides many relief services, including:

• Shelter and feed residents
• Distribute clean-up supplies such as shovels, rakes, tarps, and work gloves
• Conduct damage assessment of homes affected by storms
• Provide mental health support, including counseling for families affected by storms and tips on self-care and how to cope with the aftermath
